Amanda Jane Arizola, MBA, MHSM, is a proud generational Tarrant County native whose life story reflects the grit, heart, and determination of the communities she serves. Born and raised between the historic Northside and Southside of Fort Worth and now residing in East Arlington, Amanda grew up in a family that values a strong work ethic and neighborhood caring.

Amanda is the granddaughter of migrant farmworkers, and grew up in a single-mother household. Her father, a proud Vietnam Veteran, unfortunately passed away when she was a young girl. Times were not always easy, leading Amanda to know firsthand what stretching every dollar to make ends meet looks and feels like.

A product of Fort Worth ISD schools, Amanda found solace and stability in education and learning. Amanda earned a double BA in Government and Mexican-American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin. Attended graduate school at Texas Woman's University, completing an MBA and a Master's in Health Systems Management.

“Precinct 2 is my home. I’ve spent 25+ years of my career advocating for our community, making history as a commissioner-appointed leader who served as the first Latina Vice Chair of the JPS Health Network, managing tight budgets, and leading through tough times.

I know costs are up. I feel the squeeze too. As your County Commissioner, I’ll demand responsible spending, expand access to healthcare, and protect your tax dollars so that our communities can thrive.
From day one, I will lead through experience, fighting for all of us.”
